Meryl Manthey

From 1989 – 2015, I rode an incredible high-tech and real estate wave in the San Francisco Bay Area. My real estate clients stretched from Napa and Sonoma to Marin and San Francisco. I sold mobile homes and multi-million-dollar homes with equal passion and compassion.

In 2015, I moved my business back to Long Island, where I lived for half my life! The accents and lifestyles were different, but the human aspects of the business were very much the same. I enjoy working with different types of people, learning their interests, and helping them make an important decision in their lives.

Being part of the JoAnn Cilla Real Estate team has been a wonderful experience so far. I love the professionalism, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond for our clients. If you are looking to buy or sell a home on Long Island, I hope you give our office a call so you can get a first-hand experience of the best real estate team on Long Island.

I am proud to announce that I have joined the expanding team at Joann Cilla Real Estate. My decision was based largely on our shared passion for real estate and the love of helping our clients, whether they are buyers or sellers.

My approach to real estate includes providing genuine support to clients during significant junctures in their lives and using my experiential knowledge to guide them seamlessly towards their next chapter.

I spent years honing my skills at larger agencies. Today, I am proficient in facilitating home sales, with a special emphasis on assisting distressed sellers seeking to short sell their homes.

Raised in Ridgewood Queens and Glendale from 1965 to 1992, I received a firsthand real estate education from my father, who owned several apartment buildings. Though initially assisting with language translations, my role quickly expanded to encompass property management and legal representation, taking charge of court documentation, and representing my father in landlord-tenant disputes in Brooklyn and Queens courts.

My experience has shaped my ability to balance professional relationships with empathy and has fostered a rewarding sense of fulfillment in providing help to those in need. Additionally, as a fluent Italian speaker, I can cater to a more diverse range of clients.

In 1998, I started an independent medical evaluations company in Lindenhurst, hiring several employees and working with professionals across the insurance, legal, and medical fields. After a successful ten-year run, I closed the business in 2008 to dedicate myself to raising two adopted children.

My transition into real estate in Lindenhurst came 17 years later, a career change that I have embraced with profound enthusiasm. With the experience I gained over the years, I feel strongly that I have found my true calling in the world of real state.

Currently, I am based in West Islip, where I have resided for the past 14 years. My accumulated experience, passion for service, and ability to connect on a personal level with clients make me an invaluable resource for all real estate needs.
